Bloodshot Visits Black Cat Comics

Last September, Bloodshot wanted to walk through Liberty Park. At 80 acres, it's Salt Lake City's second largest park. He especially wanted to rent a boat, and tour the large pond with two islands. But a powerful storm (not a nanite-storm, thankfully) had swept through on Labor Day weekend. With all the downed trees, the police wouldn't let him in. So he decided to tour a local comic shop instead.

A shop called Black Cat Comics was nearby, so he went there. Whoa! Watch out for that wind, Bloodshot!

Inside he found an ample selection of back issues, and long boxes full of dollar issues.

They also offered a nice selection of trade paperbacks, for those who don't want to hunt down individual issues, and like them altogether.

Whoa! Make that a more-than-ample selection of back issues! And how about that long wall of recent issues?

After hunting through the back issues, and checking out the trade paperbacks, Bloodshot had a chat with his friends Quantum & Woody, Rai, Raijin, and a certain goat named Vincent.

Bloodshot wasn't sure about that Doctor Tomorrow kid, especially as he spent his teen and university years in another universe. But he was the super-surprise new Valiant hero of 2020, so Bloodshot figured it was best to be cordial.

Oh my! What a nice selection of his own series! Eidolon approves! Give this store owner a big red star!

Of course, no comic shop visit would be complete without saying "Hi" to the star of this blog, X-O Manowar. "Hello, ancient Visigoth king!" Bloodshot said. "Hello, sentient alien armor! Hello, current whipping boy of the New York City news media! Hahahahaha."

Needless to say, Aric was not amused.

After chatting with the friendly owner and making his purchases, Bloodshot rounded off his day at a nearby Kneaders restaurant. Then, nanites replenished and hunger assuaged, it was time for his next adventure.

He could only hope it wouldn't involve any nanite-storms.
