Shadowman #6 finds our hero Jack Boniface in Missouri, well over a day's drive from his usual haunts of New Orleans. He searches an abandoned hospital, closed due to rumors and accusations of the gravest kind. In a darkened ward, he finds a student of Dr. Victor Frankenstein's methods, a butcher who cobbles together bodies for spirits of the Deadside to inhabit.
Once again, Jack seeks to make peace with those seeking a new home in our world. But it seems nothing escapes the Deadside, which has taken on the form and consciousness of a beautiful woman. Even if these misguided spirits would listen to Jack's pleas, will she?
