Quantum & Woody Review: Earth's Last Choice

If you're new to Quantum & Woody, you're not alone. While I've never followed their (mis)adventures before, Christopher Hastings' story about Eric Henderson (Quantum) and his adopted brother Woody drew me right in. Wait, did I say they were heroes? How about America's Most Wanted instead?

Naturally, two upbeat guys like Quantum and Woody regard being fugitives from the United States government a mere hurtle to overcome. All they need is a chance to prove their worth, and they'll win back our hearts, right?

Still, even their buddy Vincent looks surprised when Woody adds prophesy to his superhero abilities.

And before you ask, yes, Vincent is a valued member of the team. Well, sometimes.

Tired of comics you can breeze through in five minutes? Under the oversight of editor Heather Antos, writer Christopher Hastings packs so much story onto each page you'll think you've been possessed by a parasitic brain.

With his colorful dialogue balloons and sound effects, Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou explores the OUTER LIMITS of the Letterer's art. Ryan Browne's artwork, and Ruth Redmond's coloring, keep the packed pages more fun than a flying house.

The Earth's Last Choice trade paperback collects all four issues of Valiant's latest Quantum & Woody series, and comes with a gallery of variant covers, B&W art, and other extras. There's even a form letter you can use to tell Christopher Hastings you found his story more tasty than Girl Scout Cookies or Pizza Burgers.

After you read Earth's Last Choice, you'll want to read it all over again. So why not set aside an entire day to spend with Quantum & Woody? Given everything that's going on in the world right now, I'm sure the boss would understand.

Nab Quantum & Woody: Earth's Last Choice tomorrow, Wednesday October 4, before your local comic shop sells out. Breathe easier as it unshackles you from temporal restraints. Relax as your spirit soars free! Don't let this terrific opportunity just...

...fade away.
